New year, new plans.

It’s that time of year again where we pen down a list of resolutions that normally involve swapping chocolate for carrots and Netflix for the gym. I however start off a new year by penning a list of places I plan to visit.

One huge plan for me this year will be buying a house with my fiancΓ©, so the trips this year will be strictly in this country!

1. Manchester

For Christmas I was given tickets to see Russel Howard (!) at the MEN Arena. I have never been to Manchester so I am looking forward to exploring the city and its sights, and maybe hitting the night scene.

2. Leeds

I gave Sam tickets for us both to go to Harewood House to feed and hug penguins. The house is inbetween Harrogate and Leeds and we have decided to stay in Leeds for the Easter weekend – we’ll be exploring the area in and around Leeds and also popping to Harrogate.

3. London

I go here almost every year, and I love it. There will always be something to do in the capital that I haven’t done before, and that is one of the many reasons I love the place – I’m looking forward to discovering more things!

4. To be confirmed

We don’t know the place yet, but Sam and I are going to book a Wowcher/Groupon for a couple of days. Somewhere with a spa, lovely walks and a good pub nearby!

I am also going to make a small amount of sneaky normal resolutions. In fact I’m not going to call them resolutions, more just some points to live by in 2017, which go as follows:

  • go for more walks and cycle rides
  • take more photos
  • drink MUCH more water
  • do something I haven’t done

I look forward to the next adventures this year, be sure to look out for them on here! Oh, and if you have any places I should go to while at the above cities, let me know!

I think it is great having travel plans to explore your own country! I did the same with Australia and had a newfound appreciation of the place at the end πŸ™‚ Wishing you all the best for 2017!
